While not officially a function of the Peterborough Chapter, the Chapter President is Co-Chairing the committee that is putting this splendid event together.
The evening will honour 4 Peterborough area families who have lost love ones in Afghanistan. Funds raised from the $100 per person ticket price will provide a trust fund for the 2 children of Warrant Officer Rob Wilson and will also fund the Mirmun Girls Orphanage in Kabul Afghanistan.
Four plaques in honour of each soldier will be unveiled on the parade square by the families and by honoured guests LCol Laurie Hawn, MP and Parliamentary Secretary to MND, Dean Del Mastro, MP and Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Heritage and Culture, the Wing Commander of CFB Trenton and possibly others.
Entertainment is being provided by the Peterborough Pop Ensemble and by Uniform Charlie, a rock band made up of Peterborough Police Officers.
